A Review On Animal Movie By Pooja Ambastha

"Animal" undoubtedly boasts stellar sequences and outstanding performances, but how the movie showcases the treatment of women is deeply unsettling. Scenes like [pulling of bra strap and shoe licking demand] feel offensive and exploitative, perpetuating harmful stereotypes against women. Portrayal of such scenes can have a very adverse effect on the viewers normalizing and romanticizing such behaviors, encouraging the men in our society to treat women like this. While the film attempts to create an emotional climax in the final fight with an emotional background song between the two distant brothers, the lack of prior story development renders it hollow and fails to connect with the audience on that emotional level. The acting of Ranbir Kapoor as the protagonist was very captivating. He never fails to impress the audience with his versatile acting. Rashmika Mandanna as Geetanjali was just fine. Bobby Deol as the main villain deserved more screen timing as per my opinion .He's acting was outstanding. Tripti Dimri ,a great potential actress ,her role was simple yet impactful. I hope we can see more of her in the second part of the movie. Overall Animal" squanders its potential with offensive portrayals and uneven emotional depth, leaving a sour taste in the mouth."
